It all starts with a broken heart.
My hand held tight by them, kisses on the forehead,
I've had the important ones walk away many times.
Now I just see them as passerbys, just because the best one won't ever come back.
It all starts with a broken heart.
Every new experience I've lived so far has been divided by the times my chest has ached the most.
I had a boy slap me hard on the face when I was just a child,
but I've had a friend stand up for me, even if she had the wrong boy.
It all starts with a broken heart.
That one important energy that keeps my fire going fades out
and into the woods I've gone for safe keeping.
I try to find new life and new memories to forget, but it's never the same.
It all starts with a broken heart kids.
You will live life wanting some closure, and when you find it...
he will ask you to help him get this one chick he's crazy about.
But since you are such a nice friend, ...AND such a looser, you do help him out.
It all starts with a broken heart gals.
He got her hand, and she's got his heart.
You just get the fun and the longing.... and the thought on how...
How you're supposed to be the one to announce that ONE phrase to him.
Of course, he'll never know because it's just too much off a vomit-inducing thing to do.
It all starts with a broken heart boys.
You get out of one mess to begin another, escaping into lies,
Travelling into outer space, where you can definetly think you've found your prince.
He then lays you between the stars and you begin to wonder why you haven't gone to Mars yet.
Turns out the Mothership is in Mars, and she has laser guns.
So you sabotage his ship, leaving him out with no oxygen.
It all starts with a broken heart, dear me.
Wait and see what will come next for you, oh poor dear me.
Hang in there, just do so, because even if you won't see it,
the most important ones are those friends, the ones who will stick by you,
and will stand up for you, even if they have got the wrong boy.

Notes from the Author:
True story, that one girl who defended me from the wrong boy was a mongoloid too.... she was so cute. Poor Ivan was punched by her, but she really didn't make any damage. I was crying about being slapped, and Ivan was concerned and asked, and she thought he was the one that made me cry.... I can't even remember her name. We were in 5th grade.
